Evaluation
The Planning I did before I begun was layed out sensibly and realistically giving a good even amount of time for the tasks depending on how long I thought it would take. What I didn’t take into account was there might be errors in the html making the Video player not align where I want it to be or even the video player itself had to be debugged to make it work correctly using flashvars. Some of the images became corrupt due to the managing the sites and then had to be designed from a last saved point. All in all though if I would have been more observant whilst doing my work some of this time used could have been avoided.
I managed my time with the time planner I created at the start of the assignment, the only reason it went over time on some tasks was due to errors in HTML/ ActionScript 2.0. I managed my project in stages doing each individual task 1 at a time in order to ensure I came out with the best possible design I could. By managing my project everything was more organised and it was quicker to make the website because I knew exactly how it was laid out and where the content was placed.
When I was reviewing my work it helped me modify it to suit the target audience more which makes it easier to understand for them sustaining their interest. It also cut out anything I didn’t notice which was irrelevant to the site saving some memory. I would note down how I coded certain things into the HTML and how I corrected my flashvars to work so encase anything happened I could refer to it and save myself time. Graphics were annotated with just key points to make it simple what I want out of them. E.g. the font on the header is a to lighter a colour and blends in with the banner.
A lot of problems mainly occurred when trying to embed the video player into the webpage. After a hour of debugging I finally got it working. The reason it didn’t work was because I spelt a folder wrong and it basically was trying to find a folder that didn’t exist. Some of the Video Player buttons didn’t work and had to be rewritten in ActionScript.
The Creativity of the work is reasonably high, it was inspired mainly of the colour scheme of youtube because it is very easy colours on the eyes for the user. The Graphics however were my own idea and were just developed reasonably fast due to it was into the criteria to create a mass amount of eye candy.
Original Intentions
My original layout was used for the final piece exactly how it was created and wasn’t changed because this layout was brilliant and easy for the users to navigate through the website, graphics were altered to fit the content on the webpage.

Research into websites.
http://home.live.com/
On this Webpage we can visibly see what type of target Audience it is particularly aiming at - 18 - 30+ the reason for this is the layout of the page and the content it holds e.g. a Calender which can be edited so the user can organise his annual plans in it. Children younger than 18 don't really need this item because they have a more routine life where in businesses (work) you have to be places etc.
A Primary Navigation menu can be located at the top of the page giving the options of Home (Homepage), Profile (Giving a description of the user), People (allowing the user to interact with other users via email sending Interacive items e.g. movies, animations, or word based documents. Mail, Photos and More. - All of these are highly important for the user so this is why it'll be at the top of the page so it's the first thing seen making the layout of the webpage easier to navigate through. If the Menu was at the bottom the user would get confused/frustrated and simply leave because they have had to think, users want it simple very bread and butter for them to understand.
Secondary Navigation sources are on the homepage which will branch of to another page which will have the desired content on the page for the user (aslong as they didn't missclick). Secondary Navigation menus are a good way of organising a page making sure it doesn't get to cluttered and inidated with shit that'll confuse the user.
Tertiary links are often smaller and less noticeable to a user e.g. weather checks, time etc.
A search bar can allows be found at the top right hand side of a page, This appears to be a standard setting for any website the websites i have seen this setting in tend to be Video Sites e.g. Youtube, dailymotion, BBC iplayer or even MSN Video.
A topic menu can be found just below pointing out key points for the website.
Google Add's are embedded into the HTML and give the user cookies so they can track what items e.g. -Fashion, toys, cars or Erotic content the viewer has been looking at. With this information they will then select websites which you are most likely to click on and purchase giving them money.

Proposal
DEAD GOOD TV PROPOSAL.
First I will conduct some research into websites noting down their Functions, Features and it’s target audience I will analyse this and see if it met it’s requirements, if it does I will note down how and the aesthetics of the website so I can learn from it, if the website doesn’t succeed I won’t bother because I don’t need to learn what I don’t need to do. I will only look into appropriate websites that relate to the website I am creating
I will create mood boards to find visual themes for my website and generate ideas.
Make a A2 moodboard of research into blog posts.
Create Initial Ideas by using mind maps to find themes and colour schemes.
Sketches and thumbnails will help me think of new layout designs.
I will then develop my initial ideas by structuring the layout of pages/ navigation techniques such as Primary navigation bar which stays on every page or a Secondary navigation bar which relates to the page and tertiary which relates to the content of the item etc. Spicing up rough drawings of site designs in concepts displaying typography , fonts, visual style and interactivity. The Video I made of a tour around Stephenson College will be added with a personally made Video Player which will allow the user to interact by playing the video, pausing, forwarding, rewinding, changing volume etc. Pictures (Black Space) will be added to get some eye candy for the user. Animations can be added to buttons so it the user can interact with it or be more amused and entertained by such a simple deed.
Whilst developing I will annotate my ideas and see where they can be improved and how to make it more suitable for the user, I will annotate the graphics, design and layout mainly seeing as it’s important for the user to be able to easily cooperate with it.
I will then Construct my final design. FOLLOWING MY DEVELOPMENT WORK (The Final Concept)
Testing and preview my website to make sure that it functions correctly.
